California Highway Patrol officer shot on San Diego highway

A California Freeway Patrol officer was shot whereas investigating an accident on a San Diego freeway Wednesday night, a report mentioned.

The unidentified eight-year CHP veteran had responded to a collision on I-8 round 6:15 p.m. when he turned “concerned in a wrestle with a pedestrian leading to a single gunshot,” CPH Captain Michael Harris mentioned at a press convention streamed by KGTV.

The officer was shot in his proper thigh and was in critical however steady situation, officers mentioned.
