A Kentucky physician is accused of hiring a hitman to kill her ex-husband, federal officers say.
Stephanie Russell, 52, who’s a pediatrician in Louisville, allegedly agreed to pay an undercover FBI agent $7,000 to whack her former partner final Sunday, based on US prosecutors.
On Wednesday, Russell left $3,500 in money in a drop field outdoors her workplace to settle half the faux hitman’s invoice, the feds say.
She had allegedly advised the agent she would pay him the opposite half after he completed the job.
The common pediatrician in Louisville earns $199,300 per 12 months, based on Wage.com.
Russell was charged with utilizing interstate commerce amenities within the fee of murder-for-hire and faces ten years behind bars, authorities stated.
