Search and rescue underway after American Airlines flight collides with military helicopter in DC: photos

An American Airways flight touring from Wichita, Kan. collided with a army helicopter at DC’s Reagan Nationwide Airport round 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Some 300 first responders labored in a single day in darkish, chilly and windy situations to seek out survivors.
